1. BIN ROYE
Who wouldn’t want to see the two most popular faces of Pakistani cinema, Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed, romance together? The couple will be seen swooning in love and dancing in HUM TV’s first film production, Bin Roye. The romantic family drama is based on Farhat Ishtiaq’s hit novel of the same name. The two songs and trailer hint towards a full emotional journey with two of the best actors of our film fraternity. Also, a stellar cast consisting of Javed Sheikh and Zeba Bakhtiar will definitely make this movie be a big hit!
After many drama serials, Danish Taimoor and Sohai Ali Abro are together on the screen to put the charm in the Pakistani film industry with Wrong Number. Judging from the dialogues and Sohai’s item song Selfiyan Re Selfiyan, the movie, it seems, is rather a bold step for the audience. Despite the criticisms, Yasir Nawaz claims that this flick will be a hit in the Pakistani film industry so let’s keep our hopes up.
After the success of Kick and Dabangg 2 in 2014, Salman Khan is ready to weave his magic again in the upcoming release ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Khan will be seen protecting a Pakistani girl along Kashmir’s border whilst romancing Kareena Kapoor. Adnan Sami has intoned a qawwali ‘Bhardo Jholi’ for the qawwali lovers and this has increased the chances of success for Khan’s another movie. With the heaps of action, drama and comedy, there is no doubt that the movie if released, will break box office records.
The sci-fi action movie featuring the chocolate hero Paul Rudd is releasing on July 17, 2015. The remarkable Ant-Man suit lets Paul save the world with Micheal Douglas is acting as a mentor. Ant-Man is going to be one of the most important movies in the marvel cinematic universe as the famous avengers hero, Hank Pym will also be seen in the Ant-Man.

So, Sana Lokhandwala wrote a post a few days ago about the perks of dating Sindhis, and while I agree, all I can say is, did you forget about our Punjabis? Punjabis are known for their love of food too, but unlike the Sindhis, a true Punjabi has a real appetite. Blessed with a great sense of humour, a generous heart and an unrivalled sense of patriotism, Punjabis are quite delightful. This is not to say Sindhis aren’t, and no, I am not Punjabi, I just know that Punjabis are just as great.
Here are 12 enticing reasons why you should be dating a Punjabi right now!
1. They were born to dance
Occasion or no occasion, these guys don’t need an excuse to bring out their dancing shoes. And if you don’t know how to shake-it, they will be happy to teach you.

2. Generosity galore!
Generosity is not alien to a Punjabi. Whether you are out for dinner, have come over to meet the family or are on a vacation with your Punjabi beau, they will take care of you like you are their personal responsibility. They will make you are part of their family even before you enter the door, and when it comes to expressing their love, generous is an understatement.

From sarson ka saag, makkai ki roti, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, masala channa, dal makhani, palak gosht to makhni handi they love to eat everything. And if you’re dating a Punjabi, rest assured, you will never go hungry. You might become fat though. They will make little niwalas and feed you themselves if they have to.

They are a basket full of laughs! They will laugh at themselves, laugh at you, laugh at life and make sure you laugh too! It’s like their personal mission in life is to see their beau laugh with them – and to make that happen, they would go to the length of making fun of themselves too!
Whether it is a Punjabi kudi or a gabroo jawan, their charm and love-for-life attitude make them all the more appealing! They’re like energiser bunnies running all over the place – and it’s contagious. Plus, I mean, they’re hot, man, and they know how to converse… with their eyes! *blush*

6. Attending a wedding
If you’ve attended Pakistani weddings, you already know that Punjabi weddings are unbeatable! The dances, the food, the gup-shup, the love, the romance – it’s all just so much fun!! But if you are going to a relatively boring wedding with that special-Punjabi-someone, you can be sure to have a blast. They know how to make every wedding a festive one!

7. Biggest jugar and bahanebaaz
Punjabis generally enjoy having a laid back life – not too ambitious – but when it comes to making bahanas – there’s no match to their creativity. If they are sleepy and you wake them up for work, stay far away from the bed, because if you are anywhere close to it, they will convince you to come lie down and go to sleep too! This lot may not be book smart – but boy are they street smart! Har cheeze ka jugar mil jaye ga! And they will prove that they are right – no matter what!

This may come as a surprise, considering how much Punjabis love to chat, what you will also notice when dating a Punjabi is how good they are at listening to other people talk too! They can sit for hours and listen to your story or your problems, and if they can’t solve them, they will definitely give you their shoulder to cry on.

See if you can identify with the following types of people:
1. The kitty party aunty
She is immaculately dressed in the latest attire, most probably donned in cigarette pants and a short kurti whether it suits her or not. Her sole purpose to be at the iftar is to show off her latest Sana Safinaz jora. She sweeps back her perfectly blow-dried hair with her neatly manicured fingers to flash her shiny trinkets, and carefully perches the dupatta on her head when the Maghrib azaan is heard, making sure her hair doesn’t ruin. She gives all the other women a body check and weighs their fashion against hers with smug satisfaction.
2. The flustered hostess
She has big shoes to fill. The last iftari she was invited to was her sister-in-law’s, which had three different kinds of samosas, four kinds sharbat, five types of chaats and seven kinds of fried savouries, dinner was more like a buffet with a multitude of dishes. She has to outdo or do just as much to prove her standing in the khandaan; the main reason why she had to host the event. She is seen frantically running around getting last minute food items on the table and faking a smile as she flitters from the hot kitchen to the air-conditioned living room.
3. The well-connected middle-aged businessman
He is as boastful as his wide waistline and can hardly keep blabbering his credentials to everyone in the room. He is full of anecdotes for the young ones venturing into the world of business and is a pseudo know-all. All the big projects signed in our country thus far have been because of him, and claims to have connections and yaari with every bigwig in Pakistan. He has a big appetite – a nightmare for the hostess – always demanding piping hot tea at the wrong time. He is closely guarded by the quiet but well-maintained trophy wife.
4. The bored teenager forced to come
No matter how many times his mother pesters him (politely while giving him the death stare) to get up for Maghrib, he continues to make faces for a Snapchat click and captions it “bored, dying!” He nibbles on the iftar, and rushes out right after opening his roza to meet his friends.
5. The human questionnaire
From the moment the iftar begins till moment it ends, this person refuses to leave your side. A more adequate name would be chipkoo. You won’t even have the privilege to take a bite of the pakora in peace without answering the endless questions you’re badgered with. From your work to your weight, age and marital status, this person wants to poke their nose into everything and anything. Best to stay on the other side of the room to avoid being hounded.
