So, Sana Lokhandwala wrote a post a few days ago about the perks of dating Sindhis, and while I agree, all I can say is, did you forget about our Punjabis? Punjabis are known for their love of food too, but unlike the Sindhis, a true Punjabi has a real appetite. Blessed with a great sense of humour, a generous heart and an unrivalled sense of patriotism, Punjabis are quite delightful. This is not to say Sindhis aren’t, and no, I am not Punjabi, I just know that Punjabis are just as great.
Here are 12 enticing reasons why you should be dating a Punjabi right now!
1. They were born to dance
Occasion or no occasion, these guys don’t need an excuse to bring out their dancing shoes. And if you don’t know how to shake-it, they will be happy to teach you.
2. Generosity galore!
Generosity is not alien to a Punjabi. Whether you are out for dinner, have come over to meet the family or are on a vacation with your Punjabi beau, they will take care of you like you are their personal responsibility. They will make you are part of their family even before you enter the door, and when it comes to expressing their love, generous is an understatement.
3. Food and flavour runs through their blood
From sarson ka saag, makkai ki roti, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, masala channa, dal makhani, palak gosht to makhni handi they love to eat everything. And if you’re dating a Punjabi, rest assured, you will never go hungry. You might become fat though. They will make little niwalas and feed you themselves if they have to.

Punjabis generally enjoy having a laid back life – not too ambitious – but when it comes to making bahanas – there’s no match to their creativity. They can sit for hours and listen to your story or your problems, and if they can’t solve them, they will definitely give you their shoulder to cry on.

If you are dating a Punjabi, whether it’s a boy or a girl, you will never need a bodyguard. They will protect you until their last breath.

While many of us get nervous meeting our sweetheart’s parents, Punjabis were born to meet parents! They know just the right things to say, express just the right amount of love and respect, and make your parents their own before even getting their approval! To your parents, she is a perfect bahu and he is the perfect damad.
